Augmentation mastopexy is an effective breast-enhancement procedure that combines the breast lift with breast implants. It is particularly favored by mothers due to the effects of pregnancy, breastfeeding, and childbirth on the body.
Breast implants are added to the chest during augmentation mastopexy. Breasts grow during pregnancy and shrink during breastfeeding. Implants provide new volume for the breasts, restoring the volume that is lost through the breastfeeding process.
The other part of the augmentation mastopexy – the lifting of the breasts – is ideal for removing stretched skin tissue after breastfeeding. When breasts lose volume, the skin often does not have enough elasticity to shrink down and match the new contours. Instead, it stays the same size, causing breasts to sag.
