How BodyTite works

BodyTite is powered by directional radiofrequency, resulting in three-dimensional tissue remodeling through fat coagulation and volumetric heating. The coagulation of fat using RF-induced heat results in radiofrequency assisted lipolysis.

The key benefits of the technology: Heating is controlled with real-time temperature monitoring in the fat layer and at the skin surface to ensure that treatment results are consistent, avoiding overtreated or undertreated areas.

Directional RF builds a temperature profile with a temperature gradient providing different treatment modalities for each tissue layer, from the deep fat layer where more heat is needed up to the skin’s surface where less heat is needed.

BodyTite Treatment Details

BodyTite treatments are typically performed with local anesthesia, and mild sedation if needed. Treatment time is about 30 minutes. After the area is numbed, very small incisions will be made so that the probe can enter and emit the radiofrequency heat energy to the tissues.

After this part of the treatment has been completed, the probe will then be passed over the outside of the skin to trigger collagen and elastin production. During treatment, the heat levels are carefully monitored to keep patients safe, and to ensure that the areas are treated at the exact right level of coverage.

What to Expect From a BodyTite Treatment

Some patients will need to wear a medical dressing for a few days. This will be discussed during your consultation. Most patients are able to get back to regular activities within 3 to 5 days, with exercise resuming in about three weeks.

Once the bruising and swelling have subsided (at about two weeks), you should be able to see some results. Final results can be seen at 3 to 6 months, with the collagen production continuing over the course of about one year.
