What To Expect: Before, During, And After
Consultation
The process begins with a consultation to discuss your aesthetic goals and concerns. During this appointment, we will:
- Review your medical history, allergies, medications, and past cosmetic procedures
- Conduct a thorough facial assessment to evaluate skin texture, elasticity, and areas of concern
- Create a customized treatment plan tailored to your goals and facial anatomy
- Provide detailed information about treatment options, expected results, duration, and potential side effects
- Discuss costs
Procedure
Before the procedure begins, the treatment area is cleansed thoroughly to remove any makeup, dirt, or oils. We may also apply a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort during the injection process.
Using a fine-gauge needle or cannula, your Holcomb Kreithen provider will carefully inject the RHA filler into the targeted areas of your face. The injections are strategically placed to address dynamic facial wrinkles, folds, or regions where volume enhancement is desired, such as the lips.
Recovery and results
Fillers from the RHA Collection are typically well-tolerated with minimal downtime. Here's what you can expect regarding recovery and results:
- You may experience some mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites; these effects are expected and usually subside within a few days
- You can apply ice packs or cold compresses to reduce swelling and discomfort
- Avoid strenuous activities, excessive sun exposure, and alcohol consumption immediately after the procedure
- By the end of the first week, any initial swelling or bruising should significantly improve, revealing the initial results
- Around two weeks later, you should see the full effects of the treatment as any remaining swelling subsides and the filler fully integrates with your skin
