Mommy Makeover Surgical Details

Depending on the complexity of your mommy makeover, the procedure may require an overnight stay. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and may last several hours. During surgery, Dr. Kreithen or Dr. Salzman may utilize abdominoplasty, where abdominal muscles are tightened and excess fat and skin are removed. Your mommy makeover may also include liposuction, in which fat deposits are suctioned out through a hollow tube (cannula) inserted through strategically placed incisions in the skin. These procedures may also be combined with breast surgery, which may involve breast augmentation and/or a breast lift.
