Belotero Procedure
Injections take just minutes and are performed in-office. Very small amounts of Belotero will be injected in the treatment area to achieve the desired results. Very fine needles are used, but a topical numbing agent may be applied to sensitive areas to make treatments more comfortable. Results are apparent immediately, but some patients see continued improvement after one to two weeks. Patients may resume normal activities the same day.
Minor redness or pinpoint bleeding may occur, as with any injectable treatment. Swelling and tenderness may also be present at the injection sites, although these side effects resolve within days. Bruising may occur.
Depending on the treatment area, Belotero may last from 6 to 12 months, with touch-up injections typically performed every six to nine months.
