A vascular laser such as excel V specifically targets and treats unwanted or abnormal blood vessels in the skin without damaging the surrounding skin. It can be used to treat all areas of the body.
The excel V vascular laser works by emitting a powerful green laser that becomes absorbed by the abnormal blood vessels within the skin. The laser heats these abnormal vessels, causing the walls of the veins to collapse and seal shut.
The combination of high-performance dual wavelengths (532 nm /1064 nm) and the proprietary long-pulsed Nd:YAG technology provides faster, more efficient clearing of targeted lesions.
The highly absorbed 532 nm wavelength has proven effective for a variety of superficial vascular lesions. It’s especially effective on conditions including rosacea, diffuse redness, and telangiectasias, as well as post-injection and post-surgical bruising.
The 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength expands treatment capabilities to include deeper, darker vascular lesions including leg and periorbital veins, as well as venous lakes and venous malformations. The Nd:YAG is also utilized to perform Cutera’s signature Laser Genesis procedure.
Ergonomically designed with ease of use in mind, the CoolView™ handpiece delivers both the 532 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths, and features a zoom spot-size capability for quick, efficient spot size adjustments from 2 mm to 12 mm. The CoolView integrated sapphire cooling feature optimizes patient comfort and safety by providing continuous cooling.
Specifically designed for Cutera’s signature Laser Genesis procedure, the Genesis V™ handpiece delivers gentle micro-pulses that target micro-vasculature and stimulate collagen remodeling, improving the appearance of wrinkles. Redness is also diffused, and other noticeable signs of aging are improved with no downtime required. A series of treatments is required for optimal results.
