Cosmetic Injectables

Cosmetic injectables are one of our most in-demand services, and there’s a wide variety of them to address nearly every concern of the face and neck. While cosmetic surgical procedures such as a facelift or brow lift can improve the shape of the face, they don’t address the aged texture of the skin and volume loss of the face, as cosmetic injectables can. At Holcomb - Kreithen Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, we provide the latest and most advanced injectables in the industry to address our patients’ non-surgical aesthetic needs.

What Can Injectables Do?

We are the leaders in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation. Our team of expert injectors use our vast array of injectable products to:

  • Soften lines and wrinkles
  • Enhance the lips
  • Soften neck bands
  • Reduce a double chin
  • Volumize sunken and hollow areas

  • Prevent unwanted wrinkles and folds

Preparing for injectables

Facial sculpting and lip enhancement through hyaluronic acid-based gel fillers is an effective way to enhance your facial features quickly, and with little to no downtime. We do our best to minimize bruising and swelling related to cosmetic injectables by using special cannulas when possible. This reduces tissue trauma.

Our expert injectors also know exactly where to place injectable fillers within the tissue, and how much to administer to achieve the most beautiful and natural-looking results. To help with healing, we recommend that patients stop medication and supplements that may prolong bleeding for 10 days prior to treatment. We have both sublingual and topical arnica Montana preparations available to help minimize the development and to hasten the resolution of any treatment-related bruising.

Botox

Botox ® has a soaring popularity. Available since 2002, it is officially the most popular cosmetic injectable in the U.S. This is because of its incredible results and no-downtime appeal. It’s safe, effective, and convenient — and many individuals have made Botox part of their regular beauty regimen.

Botox is made from botulinum toxin and blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles in order to soften or prevent wrinkles from being visible in areas such as the forehead, between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet at the eyes.

Dysport

Dysport ® is very much like Botox, although there are some slight differences. Both are made from botulinum toxin, and both block the signals from the nerves to the muscles in order to soften or prevent wrinkles. While the injections and results are very similar, the differences include onset time, dilution, and dosage.

Choosing between Botox and Dysport is often a matter of personal preference, and if you have any questions during your consultation, we will be more than happy to answer them.

Juvéderm

Juvéderm ® is an FDA-approved dermal filler that treats a wide variety of facial concerns with different products. Juvéderm is made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in the body that begins to decline with age. Juvéderm Vollure is best for under the eyes, marionette lines, and nasolabial folds; Juvéderm Volbella is best for fine lines, under the eyes, and lip contouring, and Juvéderm Voluma is best for restoring lost volume in the mid-face, plumping areas such as the cheeks and areas near the mouth to fill deep wrinkles and lines.

Sculptra

Sculptra ® is a dermal filler made from synthetic biocompatible and biodegradable components called poly-L-lactic acid. Sculptra prompts the production of new collagen through a series of injections that are administered about two months apart. Sculptra does not provide immediate volumizing results, as its results depend on stimulating natural collagen production. Results can last two years or longer to treat lost volume in the temples and cheeks, as well as deep nasolabial folds and marionette lines.

Kybella

Kybella® is the only FDA approved injectable designed specifically to treat the appearance of a double chin. It is a fat emulsifier made from deoxycholic acid — a naturally occurring substance within the body that absorbs fat — that permanently removes a double chin. Several treatments may be necessary, with repeat treatments performed at monthly intervals.

Belotero

Belotero ® is an injectable filler treatment for fine lines and wrinkles that are typically hard to treat. It is often compared to Juvéderm, but Belotero is made with a lower density, often making it a better choice for improving finer lines and wrinkles than Juvéderm. If you’ve tried Juvéderm and it hasn’t been satisfactory, Belotero may be a better solution for you.

Restylane

Restylane ® is an excellent dermal filler family that is incredibly popular due to its results. Restylane also covers a lot of areas of concern:

  • Restylane: Improves moderate to severe facial wrinkles, is ideal for under-eye area
  • Restylane-L: Plumps up and adds volume to the skin and improves moderate to severe skin wrinkles and folds
  • Restylane Lyft: Lifts sagging skin of the face and adds volume to deep wrinkles; improves sunken or hollow areas of the face
  • Restylane Silk: Adds volume to thin lips
  • Restylane Refyne: Corrects moderate laugh lines
  • Restylane Defyne: Corrects deep laugh lines
  • Restylane Kysse: Adds fullness to the lips and smooths “smoker’s lines” around the lips

Bellafill

Bellafill ® is the only FDA approved dermal filler that actually stimulates collagen production. Created with collagen that immediately adds volume to the skin, Bellafill goes to work providing long-lasting results that can remain for up to five years. Unlike other dermal fillers, Bellafill restores your skin instead of dissolving after several months. Once Bellafill is injected, it forms a solid support structure that your natural collagen can build onto, leaving your skin with a strong foundation to maintain its improved appearance.

Radiesse

Radiesse ® is a dermal filler made from calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres in a soft gel. Radiesse restores lost facial volume and treats wrinkles and folds by acting as a scaffold under the skin while promoting the production of collagen. Radiesse lasts for 1 to 3 years, depending on the treatment area. It is the only wrinkle filler available that immediately restores lost volume while stimulating collagen production.

Aquagold

Aquagold ® fine touch™ is a micro injection device that uses patented micro-channeling technology to painlessly and effectively administer small amounts of different cosmetic injectables directly into the skin, with virtually no pain or downtime. Aquagold is excellent for evenly distributed, more efficient delivery of the injectables at a precise depth and over a wide surface area.
