Non-invasive pulsed light therapy (phototherapy) treatments are thought to enhance hair growth through stimulation of energy production in hair follicles, improvement of the scalp micro-circulation and reduction in dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels (and thereby further minimizing additional hair loss).
Controlled studies have shown improvement in hair follicle density compared to sham-treated controls.
