The first step of your Kybella treatment in Tampa will be a consultation with Dr. Holcomb or Dr. Kreithen. The doctor will get to know you, your hopes for the procedure, your medical history, any medications you take, and your allergies. When the treatment appointment arrives, the team at our MedSpa will begin by applying a topical anesthetic beneath your chin. Next, they will mark the injection sites all around the area that will be targeted. Using a very fine needle, the doctor will then begin making injections.
Each treatment of Kybella will involve anywhere from 10 to 50 injections and take approximately 10 to 20 minutes. You may feel a slight pressure from the injections, but the numbing cream should prevent any pain.
After the injections are finished, the area under your chin will be dressed in a compression garment to assist in the healing process.
